If Jamie Mackie gets back to full fitness (fingers crossed) is he what we have been missing or do you think Mr Fernandes will get his cheque book out in January and bring in someone Warnock wants?

We could have done with a real goal poacher against the Toon and Villa, is Mackie the man? If not who (please be realistic) would you like to see arrive in January?

    Over to you.

Again, a decent player but not the answer up front. Played well when he first came to us last season knocking them in for fun a la Agyemang, but then didn't score or really play that well for the next 10-15 games.

I still wonder whether someone like Kevin Phillips would've been a good buy, experience in the Prem and knows where the goal is. Looked good for Blackpool so far.

    Surely Campbell needs a start.

would still get a striker in & even nw said he missed out in one in last window so that is a definate, away from home would play the same team & formation but i think he might change the loan striker for fulham, at home we got to be more positive & play two strikers as yesterday you could see there was hardly anyone in the box at times.

Mackie will play right of the three so in SWPs position when he cannot play. Although Mackie is a great option in the team he will not be the answer. Personally I dont see much of a problem as Bothroyd and DJ are both playing well and the goals will come.

If we do decide to sign a striker in Jan however I will be happy but the player has to be better then what we have. Therefore he has to be a very good player with Premiership experiance. If we sign Anelka or someone like that I will be happy but that is the level we have to look at. No point in looking at half decent championship or lower half Premiership strikers as they will be no better then DJ or Jay.

I can't see Mackie getting in the starting eleven these days unless we have injuries or suspensions. I agree he will play if SWP doesn't.

Depends entirely on how much Fernandes gives Neil to buy one.Even a half decent striker's gonna cost upwards of £5 million,so i think he might try and get someone in on loan till the end of the season. Can't see it being Anelka, but Johnson from Fulham could certainly bury the chances Jay is currently passing up!!

Proven Premier League goal-scoring ability. More than DJ.

Sorry, fell off my chair thinking about Tevez and Warnock. I think we should go for Balotelli on loan, he seems like a nice easy going lad.

We won't get Owen, he's happy to be 5th choice at Old Trafford and concentrate on his horses...

Gutted we didn't get Bellamy, he would of been just the job. Maybe a cheeky loan bid for Chamakh?

I don't think it would be wise to put Mackie back in.

At least not yet. I'm not sure he's premiership standard.
