After playing Arsenal on New Years Eve our fixtures are ....

    2/1/12 Norwich (h)
    15/1/12 Newcastle (a)
    21/1/12 Wigan (h)
    1/2/12 Villa (a)
    4/2/12 Wolves (h)
    11/2/12 Blackburn (a)
    25/2/12 Foolham (h)
    3/3/12 Everton (h)
    10/3/12 Bolton (a)

before we have the run-in versus all the big guns.
These are probably the most important two months of our season, and why we must make the most of the transfer window.

It's also why we need to get as many points before the transfer window as well, all the'easy' games will be against sides scrambling for points so there will be no 'easy' games. Last year Blackpool went from mid-table to relegation in the 2nd half of the season and Birmingham...

10 points minimum may need at least 12

I look at those 9 games and think a realistic 15 pts is available . That might be enough to have us safe by the end of that run if we can pick up a couple of wins between now and the new year.

Realistically only Newcastle and Villa away look like really tough games!

Before the Stoke game there were people believing only 3 points would be possible the next 3 games and now we do have them already. Looking at the current performances I guess we will get another 10 points till the end of the year PLUS another 19 from the games mentioned above - I am not worried (anymore).
