I reckon both will be recalled by their Mums and Grannies and we will descend into gloom once more where a lot of people who bleed green love to be. **** happens in football to ALL teams not just ours. We don't follow other clubs very closely so we seldom know about their woes. Two more in so happy with that.

In Argyle we trust (these days we do anyway).

We dipped out in the New Years Day fixture and didn’t go to the FA Cup game. Having wondered if we’d adjust to being season ticket holders, I can’t wait for Saturday.

Darryl Flahavan 45 yrs old has arrived as our new goalkeeper coach....has experience from coaching at....Leeds, Middlesboro, Birmingham, Sheffield W & Wigan.

Also announced eventually.... that Elliot Turner Head of Fitness has now left the club.....I wonder if he is on the way to Stoke....he wouldn't leave without a job lined uop would he ?

Been thinking about Darryl Flahavan becoming our keeper coach.....I assume that this is a full time job.

But looking after three first team keepers...plus a few youth keepers surely isn't a full time job.....will he have other responsibilities within the squad ?

But on top of that, you might like to see two of our recent recruits in action for our new manager. Top quality commentating too.

There is talk that Ian Foster is keen to bring in Norwich mid-fielder Adam Forshaw 32 yrs old....to bring support and experience to help the young Devine & Gyabi to settle into their rolls at Argyle.

Not sure if that is a loan or permanent signing.

This deal is very much on....a few small points to sort out.....and it would be a permanent deal.

Football pundits are jumping on the bandwagon and talking up the possibility of Brentford, Fulham & West Ham being involved in a bidding war for Morgan Whittaker.....and saying that Argyle would be expecting £4million plus for him.

Financially £4 million would be a none starter for Argyle.....Plymouth will be aiming at not being relegated from the Championship this season and Whittaker would help them to do that.

To replace Whittaker and his goals would surely cost more than £4 million for Argyle to find a similar goal scorer.....and to sell him before the summer would not be good business.

Even with Whittaker staying and continuing his present form Argyle still need another striker to share the load up front with Ryan Hardie....and it would cost more than £4 million for Argyle to replace Whittaker and find a suitable striker to share the load up front with Ryan.

Money isn't the only issue although it's a big one of course.

The window closes on 1st February. If a deal had been set up ready to go on 1st January and a plan was already in pace to spend the proceeds, that would be one thing. To lose your best player with less than two weeks to go and no replacement deals readily on hand is a whole other ball game.

Permanent signing after being released by Norwich.

    https://www.pafc.co.uk/news/adam-forshaw-signs-argyle

Significant experience including 69 appearances in the Premier League and 139 in the Championship (according to my mental arithmetic).

I still think we could do with cover for Ryan Hardie. I like Mustapha Bundu: big, strong, pacy, decent feet but maybe not the top-tier goal predator Hardie is.

We have a back up striker called Issaka. Yes he is only a kid but I have been quite impressed with him every time I've seen him play and he clearly has a future. I hope Argyle give him a chance and aren't scared off simply due to his age. Another striker would be cool but then again a really good striker would also be near impossible to obtain.

Indeed yes and I’m sure he has a bright future. The most important thing is to feed him
Into the team gradually and not overload him too quickly. Even then I think he’s more of a 10 than a 9 but time will tell.

Four strikers rotated in two positions: we were playing 3:5:2 then. I do agree we could do with another out-and-out striker though, as we saw when Hardie and Bundu were injured at the same time.

Niall Ennis has by the way only 3 Championship starts and 8 appearance as a substitute this season with no goals scored.
