He was brilliant last time he was here, but has suffered some nasty injuries last few seasons. Would be a good signing, although I would rather we could sign a proper goalscoring striker like Yakubu. Surely he could come back from Qatar !
No Yakubu, but Pompey have recalled striker Ryan Bird from his loan spell at Cambridge United, having scored nine goals for the Conference Premier club. An inspired decision, to my mind Portsmouth have also signed midfielder Danny Hollands on loan from Charlton until the end of the season. Hollands, 28, started his career at Chelsea and also played for Bournemouth before joining Charlton in 2011. He has made 62 appearances for the Addicks, but spent the first half of the season on loan at Gillingham.
It would be great to have O'Hara back. Regardless of injuries he's the type of player who takes control of a game and gets players around him performing better, if could perform half as well as he did before he'd be an inspired signing.
