It's going to be hard getting rid of Murphy. 11 million quid what a huge error by rafa ... it's worth pointing out muto was about the same price and hes absolutely ****e also. Rafa has made some very good signings, but he doesn't operate well in the 10 to 15 million bracket at all. If I was Ashley I'd be hesitant giving him huge amounts of money because hes better without money in all honesty. I mean look at some of the ****e he bought at liverpool. I've come to the conclusion Mike Ashley is running the club brilliantly and within its means, so I don't think it's worth trying to persue anything greater.
We dont know if Murphy was a first choice target though mate. I would say the vast majority of signings made since we got promoted in 2017 have not been rafa's first choice. Lejeune and Almiron being the exception.
He has final say on signings as far as I'm aware though, so its ultimately his mistake. 22 million for two players is alot for us, so it's a shame he didn't get it right.
We need a squad, i would say murphy was bought as a squad player with some potential. Unfortunately i feel like he is not up to the required standard, which is a shame as his heart is with the club. In terms of buying him though, you need numbers with injuries and suspensions creeping in throughout a season. The price? Well that is just the modern era my friend.
At that price I think otherwise , I think it's an error personally mate . We don't spend those prices often and certainly not for squad players.
It was a ****e buy like, every manager has them. Hasn't done much at WBA either. Still wish we'd kept him in the team after he scored against City last season though, his confidence has been as much an issue as anything. Think Muto will get up to sumat next season like. Should have learnt the basics of English by then.
I think he mean to type 'atomic cock' - it's very hard to aim accurately on the atomic scale. Just ask Chippy's missus.
