Yes I have seen him. I was taken out to Spain by a client when on my internship and met the chairman, the team and watched them train as well as taking in a game (The boxes at the Camp Nou are incredible). You cannot compare him to Essien, Toure and Drogs, they have extra leverage with their superior upper body strength. Strength is necessary to be a world class player.
Is there anything you haven't done? You've allegedly met the whole Barcelona team, watched them train, used to be in the Saints academy, nearly made it pro, captained your school's football, cricket and rugby teams...either you are the luckiest man on earth or a bullshitter. And yes of course I can compare Messi to those players, I am showing how they define strong (as opposed to Messi), they all have exceptional talent, yet Messi is still far better than all 3 of them.
This is all true. How is it luck? I'm good at sports... And yes i've met the Barcelona team, that was through work. I've met the Real Madrid team too, I think it was 2003, when the Rebecca Loos scandal kicked off. The team got away to La Manga for a few days, met them at the Hyatt. You can't compare the players, Messi can't play the role Drogs does and would be a gash defensive midfielder as that's not what he's been trained in.
Yes, I can compare the players, because the comparison shows that Messi is nowhere near as strong as others yet far technically better. They both play as forwards, you may say ah, but different type of forward. The only reason they are a different type of forward is because Drogba is far stronger. Yet Messi is better.
Messi is a natural winger/striker. Drogs is a Centre forward, a target man. Two completely different roles that cannot be compared on how they play their positions. It's a stupid argument as there isn't one there. If you were to compare Drog's to someone it would be Andy Carroll or players of that ilk. Messi, you would compare probably to Neymar.
Neymar plays as a centre forward, like Drogba. And there are forwards who play as a centre forward and as a winger, i.e. David Villa. Besides, Messi has been playing as a centre forward a lot in the past year or so, in Drogba's role. The only difference being Drogba is so much bigger, yet as I say, Messi is clearly far better.
Messi and Neymar are not comparable. I'd say Messi is like a more talented Pablo Aimar. Neymar reminds me of Ronaldo.
I've noticed quite a strong link between being good at sport and being a dick as I've been through school. Anyone else notice that?
Quite frequently yes, they let it go to their head and get really cocky and arrogant. There are some that remain level-headed, to be fair.
