Sorry to break bad news but I just seen that Jack Payne has picked up a bad injury today, suspected to be ankle ligaments damage, this is really bad news and I hope it isn't as bad they think it is.

News of our promotion will seem bitter sweet to him tonight. Let's all hope and pray for his speedy comeback.

Yeah hope it isn't too bad as I wanted him to keep Peterborough up and their fans are gutted. Wonder how bad it will be.

Jack Payne is having a scan on his injured ankle. We do seem to have an injury jinx on our loan players, let us hope it is not too serious

Maybe being insensitive here but will this affect the sale of jack in the summer as if he is badly hurt how will he be able to pass a medical?

Looking at it from a Posh point of view it is clear that Jack is waiting to see if Posh remain in the Championship before deciding whether to sign permanently in the summer.

Now that he is injured, unless it is a career ending one, I do not think that will make any difference to Posh (apart from losing him for the next few games) as long as we
are a Championship club. He will have until August to recover and get fit. I don't think he would need to pass another medical as technically he is already a Posh player,
it is just a case of changing his status from 'Loan player' to Permanent player'. It might affect how he is viewed by any other clubs interested in him.

If Posh do get relegated I can see him going back to Gillingham, especially as they have now been promoted
