I'm pretty sure Faye and Macca arent available so with AB and Chezzy hardly the biggest Jack needs to really be up for it today. He looked poor on the goals last week especially after his performance against Blackburn. That was his best display in a City shirt. He got some stick when he first came here but has come through that, but, he needs to dominate more and be a bully as a CB. Big Abdi's displays, very physical, imposing and a threat in their box is the benchmark for him. When you look back to the Wednesday game, a team of bruisers; he did his job but he didnt take the fight to them. Which is why SB took him off. I want to see him batter Zigic today, need to step up Jack.
On the last line that's 1 thing I have always wanted Hobbs to improve on. He is sometimes too nice as a defender and needs to rough a few people up. He would get bullied a bit too easily at times by big men
agreed, remember watching Bolton when we beat them 3-1 early on at the KC and Faye completely battered Kevin Davies. Their keeper targeted every kick at him and Faye gave a wonderfully experienced and physical performance (and he scored). Within 10mins, Davies was flailing his arms at the ref appealing for everything, really got under his skin. Despite being very capable, that's a quality that Jack lacks at the moment.
Not having a go at you, but he was not at fault for a single goal last week, just watched the replays and i was there live and he wasn't at fault at all, it was Chester's worst game for us along with Evans and Bruce. Them three where far more at fault, which brought Jack down unfortunately. Yet i do agree with you on him, he needs to improve that bullying side, i agree with you completely against Wednesday he had an average 6.5 ratin game, no more no less. I rate him very highly, but he does need to bully the opposition more.
I disagree on the first goal he was dragged out of the middle and didnt get tight to his man. Second goal was a mash up wasnt it. thats were he needs to dominate and take charge.
On the second goal it's tough to be a physical bully when it's a cheating diving bastard little midget like n'gog who has the ball in your box. Attempting anything of the sort in that situation you may aswell just pick up the ball and put it on the penalty spot. It's a shame but it's just the way it is, refs are ****ing useless.
Jack did well but Zigic was **** but as Dutch can rename threads etc i would realy really like this one renaming JACK AND THE BEANSTALK Please...........
