News just reaching me that America has pulled out of Iraq after 8 years

So what was the point? What have they achieved in 8 years?

 

got **** loads of free oil i'd say about 8 years worth

 

a war is a good distraction

And a **** load of oil.

And the death of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians.

And the death of 4500 US soldiers.

Well they've killed Saddam Hussein and managed to keep the country a bit of a shambles, just a shambles with no clear leader...good job all round i spose.

 

Obama personally gave you a call, did he?

 

RIP all the Iraqis that died in a war that was completely useless.

 

Well the election is next year so he is pulling out all the stops to try and distract people that he has done a pretty crappy job as president, obviously the announcing of them killing Bin Laden was not enough to do the trick.

Next month: We are closing Guantanamo Bay!

Well they got rid of Saddam Hussein who, incase anybody has forgotten, was a hideously murderous individual who should have been removed from office decades before he finally was. Sure, the means and reasoning were miserable and for the most part the war was an embarrassment. But to say they did nothing is wrong.

They never went there for him , he was just a timely excuse. "They've got weapons of mass destructions! Attack! They want to attack us!"

As you'd expect all the ignorant Americans fell for it and were totally for the war.

Everyone knows the only reason they went there is for the oil. They have done nothing to ease the situation though , on the contrary , the deaths total soared like it had never done before in Iraq's history and turned the country into a war zone.

 

They went searching for WMD's, didn't find them, soldiers died and Saddam got trialed and hanged. They didn't achieve what they set out looking for so...

We're ment to be pulling out Afgahn by 2015 i think, i doubt anything will change when there when the troops leave. Sad really, as will mean many life's were lost in vain.

 

No idea how that means nothing was achieved though. They removed a man responsible for the death and torture of millions. Like I said in my post, the means and reasoning were miserable; but how on earth you can say that removing such a dictator is equal to '**** all' I have no idea.
