That was a reply to comments by Style, it makes no sense and is actually poor posting to not include Style's post too. To dumb it down for you, what use is half of a conversation. Never mind that you only select the bit you can have attempt to have a pop at.<laugh>

No wonder threads like this decent into utter garbage<ok>

So we all agree Liverpool are still **** but we are not in agreement about the level of ****ness ??

The current Liverpool squad isn't good enough for top 4 in my opinion regardless of tactics.

BTW loved the latest defeat more than usual simply due to Rodgers talking **** again last week <ok>

I think we tend to **** it up far too regularly. We've had a fair few bad decisions go against us - Scholes in 04, Rafael in 10 and Nani this year, but when they went against us we were in winning positions and we then went on to **** it up. Against Real, yes we went a man down and yes they're a very good side, but that's no excuse for just switching off and conceding two goals in three minutes, then suddenly waking up and playing well for the rest of the game. We'd been comfortable up until that point, and Nani was doing **** all defensively, so how does losing him imply we suddenly have to leak like a sieve?

I think they could be good enough if it was purely based on talent / skill (the infamous 'on paper' argument), but like I said in the other thread the problem is more mental than anything. They play great when they are down in 7th or 8th, or playing City or Utd when no one expects them to get a result. But then as soon as they are in with a shout of 4th they bottle it like Arsenal in a brewery.

It's been the same for a while now - I remember all the chat about how their form in early 2011 was good enough for top 2 when they started the year in around 10th. Then the new season starts, everyone starts from the same situation and they start ****ing it up again.

Where did all of this come from, all I have said is your squad is not good enough for top 4. Not sure how you can claim I'm ranting either.....

    Allen - £15 million

    Henderson - £20 million

    Downing - £20 million

    Borini - £10.5 million

    And they wonder why..

    a) They're skint

    b) They're a mid-table team

Add to that Carroll for £35m who then got loaned out as he wasn't deemed good enough <laugh>
