For someone else to make the mistake against us that we have made more than once by trying to sit on a point and getting nothing.

Does anyone else sense that since Phelan has come in that we don't seem as negative as previously as well?
We are still missing drive from midfield still though.

Great to see phelan getting the crowd going towards the end! He could well be the signing we needed to push us on? He must see loads of things at the club that needs changing to help move us on and upwards.

Agree with the view that Phelan might be our most important signing. When he was doing the arm waving/getting the crowd going towards the end it worked a treat. If he can get the midfield to connect more directly (forwards instead of sideways) and quicker with the strikers then we will have a great chance of a highest ever finish. Also McGregor looks happier and back to some good form the last couple of games. I am wondering if Phelan is the one who can get us some mirrors in the ladies loos.

Hudd drops back, the midfield becomes deep, and the forwards get isolated. By the time we pass to them the defence are up and they are offside.

Either we push up more, or we play faster.

We miss The box to box drive of Diame

I like the fact Phelan has got Brucey wearing blue trainers just like him. Very stylish.

Three time in the second half yesterday Huddlestone dropped so deep he was getting in Dawsons way. He really needs to push up and playing balls forward. We were caught off side about twenty times because when the forwards expected a through ball it was played side wards or back wards.

Hudd covered the most ground of any player yesterday. Had the most touches in the opposition half of any midfielder and not to mention helped set up the winning goal

I agree but we can't just rely on Diame as our only attacking midfielder, that position has to be the next one to be filled. Ramirez can obviously do a job there but he's on loan and I can't imagine we'll be making it a permanent due to the fact that Southampton paid £12m for him, and for that kind of money I'd say that there's better value to be had.
