After getting over today's loss to Bristol City (only just!) I've been looking back on some videos I've found on YouTube on the history of Gills and I can honesty never think of a time when I've been bored in a season! The last few we've been chasing promotion from League 2 up to League 1 with a brief interlude of success followed nearly immediately with relegation to league 2 yet again and I suppose since I really started properly supporting Gills (around 2000 (when I was properly old enough to know what was going on!)) its always been exciting, the tumble down from the Championship to League 1 and one to League 2 and the climb back. What I'm really trying to say is that I see a lot of people complain about the latest result like its life or death but in reality, as a relatively young gills fan, I can see whatever happens this year, stay up or go down, it will always be rewarding to be a Gills fan. From Wembley success to last seasons glorious conclusion good times are always on the horizon for us Gillingham Fans. When I look at some teams like Oldham, there fans must get bored of just killing time sitting in League 1, never going down but never challenging surely? I'd rather pinball around the divisions than anything else! Hopefully this put todays loss into context and we can move on to Crawley with hope and confidence, its never always going our way but its never boring and thats why I love following the gills over land and sea (and swindon!)

Yes every season that Gills play we seem to be involved with either promotion or relegation. Never mid table until the last couple of games. It looks the same this season but hopefully we will have enough points before our last match at home to Shrewesbury.
