Just been watching the drama in the Championship. An interesting statistic came out during the Hull v Cardiff game, at the end if which the result (2-2) saw both teams automatically promoted to the Premiership.
Neither side has a league goal scorer in double figures ! This statistic is even more surprising because of the number of goals scored by Cardiff ( 72 ).It really does show that football has become much more of a 'team' game. Gills have shown this fact ( to a slightly lesser degree than Cardiff ) .
Whilst we await what transfers in & out happen in the summer, recruiting prolific goalscorers is becoming much more difficult. It would not surprise me if we concentrate on being hard to beat, and therefore highlighting the importance that all players in the squad chip in with goals.

Always interesting from a psychologically view point. A game where you play as a team but do you act as a team or does that 'me' or 'pack' mentality cut in?

Best ask the Watford keeper within the first few moments of Leeds second goal. To whom I hasten to add I do not blame for the final game outcome.

I've stated before that I'd take keds over pope and this is another good reason that I didn't state that team and team mates become over reliant on that player to score, rather that scoring themself. If that player has an off day the crowd get on. Their back straight away and it affects the team.
