...... when Villa go down? The arrogant bellends have deserved it for years but are now in the bottom 3 with more than half the season gone. No chance Mi'Lord
I'd imagine there's a few fans of other clubs saying similar about us... It's any 3 from 8 and we're just as likely to drop as any of the others on tonight's showing imo.
Going down M'Lord, Going down Oh Lord... Going down Fingers crossed M'Lord, Fingers crossed Oh Lord... Fingers crossed
You and I had a chat, pre season regarding this and we both agreed that they were heading for the ****ter, mainly because of Lerner's lack of interest, trying to sell the club etc. A few weeks later, I can't speak for you but I felt a bit humbled as they soared up the table with every media outlet singing Lambert's praises and saying Villa 'were back'. I think it was 10 points from their first 4/5 games and all of a sudden I was feeling a bit silly. Seems Lambert has rediscovered his mojo to spare my blushes anyhow
Consistency is key!! We played 3 games and played well - we played one game and played awful (first half) - I honestly thought on another day we'd have got something from that as those chances we had, particularly the Wickham one, go in 99 times out of 100! So if we play well for 3 and a half games of every 4 we should be OK!! We just have to hope we don;t give a head start to whoever we're against in the one where we don;t play well! OH - and leave Jordi Gomes out of the side
For that being the only tune their fans know, I hope they do. However, because Villa is one of my closest grounds I actually hope they don't (or WBA either). I've already given up on the chance of going to Leicester next season, but hoping Wolves can sneak in by the playoffs.
Always the same problem isn't it ...... I dislike the clubs around me but don't want them to go down. Villa's only an hour from me but I've really grown to hate them. The Villa chief steward, on our section this season, asked me, 'What's it like to see a real crowd' ......... totally deluded.
Quick comparison with last year for Villa. They picked up 13 points from the corresponding* fixtures last season. They picked up 11 points from their last 13 games, which is what they have left now. They scored 12 goals in their last 13 games last season. They have 12 goals all season in 14/15. They finished last season with the same goal difference they have now although they'd scored 16 more goals last season. *Replaced QPR with Cardiff and Burnley with Fulham. Their home fixture vs Burnley the last game of this season, could be huge, if it comes down to that, I hope everybody adopts Burnley as their team for that day.
It's insane that he's been backed this long. Bent recall on the horizon and another opportunity to jeer Judas me thinks.
Any other manager will do a better job, that guy is a clown. I reckon QPR's result last night pushed Lerner to chop Lambert
