Surely that should be down from the sticks? There's got to be more people coming in to London from more northerly places rather than more southerly places.

Since Naarwich is below sea level, it's definitely up.

**** sake there's some angry lads on here, for it what's it worth in my experience in London I couldn't see anyone wanting to learn or educate themselves. In Ireland there was a time when teachers could recognise who was academically gifted and who wasn't so they were pushed towards learning a trade and invariably ended up "richer than you" but never noticed that in London. There was one lad who worked for us and his parents both professionals and he just was a general op and stoned all the time,**** knows what happened to him.He was from Muswell Hill probably thought it didn't matter, nice lad though.

I'm still laughing at 'Jim Davidson TV personality'

Has this thread been bumped from the 1980's?

I'm not on the Isle of Man for the gorgeous weather and the rockstar lifestyle, I'm here to work.

The best employees I have are all from Britain and Ireland, the Manx workers are mostly looking for a wage to pay for their lives - the British and Irish imports are looking to build a career (and are willing to up sticks and move to a ****ehole to further it). It was exactly the same story in Guernsey and Malta, all the best workers were imports.

It's an oddity I've noticed about people who come from London. They always say "up to London" regardless of which direction you have to travel to get there.
