    Thinking about this and who has been better? ... Beresford, Pearce, Pistone, Domi, Elliott, Bernard, Babayaro. NO TO ALL ... although I liked Beresford.

    Best since Beresford anyone?

    I always thought very highly of Olivier Bernard. However, I think Jose's form this season has shown he will be the better left back.

    Best back 4 in my memory (baring in mind I am 17):

    Hughes Woodgate Coloccini Enrique

    Special mention to Dabizas and Bernard though.

    This thread is being too positve about our defences and it's forgetting the likes of Bramble, Boumsong and the other buckets of crap we've been blessed with

    Barton/Watson
    Albert
    Peacock/Howey
    Beresford

    but that said, Simpson, Colo, Willo/Saylor, Enrique isnt far behind
