Is Luka Modric overated?

    This may sound like a Wum attempt but..

    Is Luka Modric over-rated?

    He is not in the top 20 for assits as shown here http://www.premierleague.com/page/Statistics/0,,12306,00.html if it was a straight choice between Silva or Modric I would take Silva everyday.Also he is not a great tackler like De Jong or Mascharano for instances

    Dont get me wrong he is a decent player but come on Spurs fans convince me I am wrong!

    Please note that Chris Brunt rates above anyone at City, Spurs or Liverpool on that list, plus Giggs, Scholes and a multitude of other players.

    Oh yes, the good old assist stat. Xavi got 7 assists last season. Now when you consider he's feeding the ball to Messi and playing in a team that's probably scored close to 100 goals, that probably equates to what Modric got. Are you going to tell me Xavi's overated too?
