Fair play to him i think if he gained some consistency he'd be a good league one player, shame we let him go as he is technically a much better player then richards, just makes too many mistakes!
What actually happened with Gowling, I thought he was decent but then didn't he say something about being a League 1 player and being better than the club? Was that the reason for his release from the club or was it performance or a mix of both? Anyway good luck to him. Harry's right he could be good but too many times he looked like bambi on ice.
I think we let him go because of his comments and that he actually rejected a contract so we just thought no messing about just let him go straight away.
i'd be very surprised if the maher contract was still on the table tbh, espically if were in talks with lee still
