Much to pick up on, and most of it good During one more tiresome break, All those Canaries who featured, did well And left no defeat in their wake Which, if it can rub off on their league form Could prove more than handy, I´d say, With four tricky matches before the month´s up Now is no time to lose our way Lafferty must be pushing for a place If reports are to be believed, It makes me wonder if his wide left berth Here, is perhaps wrongly perceived There are goals in his boots, as we can see And maybe a more central role, Would bring the best out of him and the rest As he has a nose for a hole Good to see Wes too, coming on as sub And bringing home some German cheer, So often in the past his cameos Have been too short or just not there Strange, in a way, now we´re off the top tier That those players, many the same, Who, although picked then, never got much chance This year, find they´re getting a game Club form apparently plays a big part Except perhaps for Ruddy J, Who´s off the radar when England time calls Hard to understand, that, from his play So although these breaks make for a start/stop league Hopefully we may benefit, When Saturday we pick up where we left off And they´re all back in yellow kit. Nice RBF. No-one particularly likes being deprived of club football during the international breaks, but it helps to see some of our boys not only being picked for their countries, but also performing well. Here's hoping they bring that confidence back to the club, and it rubs off on the rest of the squad too.
Certainly that is some consolation gandy, can´t say that I will ever love these breaks, but nor can I really think of a satisfactory, alternative time for holding International games.
