Jack Bauer got it right - phones were massive and the manufacturers then got together and had a competition to see who could make the smallest one and now they're getting massive again. I can only guess that it's down to ******s like me losing them and having to constantly ring the bloody thing to try and find it again <doh>

I just don't get the whole thing with 'phones that do everything' mp3/internets/games/handjobs etc. I got my first smartphone recently but I didn't want one of those huge bloody things so I went for the Sony Ericsson Mini Pro, it's a cracking phone as it does everything the bigger smartphones do the only drawback being the smaller screen and it has with a slide out keyboard . But I've realised that if you want to actually USE a smartphone as a smartphone then you'll probably need to be near a recharge point within a maximum of 15-18 hours. The likes of the SE Play will be flat in about 3 hours if you're actually playing games on it because you only get 3/4 hours out of a PSP but at least you're not relying on a PSP as your phone too. even though it has a great media player I don't even use my phone as an mp3 player as I've noticed how much this eats up battery too. My old W995 used to go 3/4 days without needing charged even when it ws 2 years old, don't get me wrong though I do like the phone and it's functionality but the battery life is terrible.
