Good Evening, Allow me to introduce myself as I am new to the forum. I have been reading from afar for some time and thought it time to get involved. I am 25 years old and have supported Charlton since 1997 (13th December having watched a 1-0 home win to Port Vale to be exact!). Since then I held a season ticket for around 7 years before giving it up in preference to playing competitive football of a Saturday afternoon, my last game as a ST holder being the day 'we sent the palace down'. Despite much ill feeling and caution that I read on here regarding people renewing their ST's for next season, I am looking forward to becoming a season ticket holder again next season, as I have missed that roller coaster of emotions you go through from a Friday evening right through to a Sunday morning which all center around whether or not the team have given us fans anything to smile about. In terms of my outlook on football, I don't tend to be one of those fans who see the game through rose tinted glasses. One of the things I love most about football is the amount of different opinions it generates. I love how one fan will believe that Bradley Pritchard is worth a start every single week on work rate and endeavor alone, whereas another simply does not believe his level of technical ability warrants that of a Championship level footballer. I love how these opinions spark debate and fans see the same game completely differently. For the record, I sit somewhere in the middle on the Pritchard argument! Anyway, go easy on me and I look forward to chatting to as many of you as possible in times to come. Thanks Thurrock Addick
Welcome Welcome and all the usual niceties Yeah a forum you can speak your mind and not get banned, and for the record,i'm one of the ones who doesn't rate pritchard much Look forward to seeing you post your opinions
Top man I've just renewed my ST ...not been the greatest of seasons down the valley in terms of results but ...it's addiction look forward to reading your opinions welcome
Welcome I will not be renewing my season ticket and will not buy one again until the club promise to never treat us again like they did against Millwall! We are the guys who help pay the bills NOT Wall supporters With regard to Pritchard.... I love his commitment but do not think he is up to Championship standard to start games, perhaps a good sub but not to start. He reminds me of Matty Holland or Kinsella just without their skill level
Welcome aboard! Everything you said about differing opinions is why I love forums. I saw Solly's performance on Tuesday differently to others, but couldn't disagree with their points. I have no idea where I stand in regards to pritch. We seem to be a better team with him in the eleven, but still not convinced he can be a long term starter. Happy to be proved wrong!
I'm a Pritchard fan infact my fav players are Yan Pritchard Waggy .. 2 wouldn't be on most people's lists BUT I like to be different
