After the last day or so... the thought of almost 2 weeks to see us in action is awful, at least I suppose the football world will be watching as it's live on sky, how to kill the time?! most of our squad has gone off internationlly ramirez & ben arfa have 2 weeks to get settled in the area and squad I believe hernandez is with uruguay, id imagine diame will be with senegal I love the fact, we have 3 international teams with more than 1 player of ours involved uruguay/scotland/ROI So, when are our players involved? (it's terrible really as the OP I haven't researched but its tedious as fk on me phone)
McGregor - Scotland Bruce - Northern Ireland Chester - Wales Meyler - ROI Brady - ROI Jelavic - Croatia Ince - England U21 Aluko - Nigeria Robertson - Scotland Elmo - Egypt Quinn - ROI Diame - Senegal Hernandez - Uruguay McShane - ROI Standby Figueroa - Looks to be dropped by Honduras
RE Internationals. A pedantic ? Who pays the wages when players are on International Duty, this weeks action, World Cups, African Nations Cups etc? Also if they are injured whilst on International Duty are clubs compensated?
Ah thats it, knew he was selected just couldn't remember which country. They also play Egypt and Elmo don't they?
I think with the euros in 2016 ben arfa will have extra motivation to have a blinding season this term
If they get injured on international duty, it depends on the injury but often there are compensation claims for things like broken legs and shin splints. We still pay their wages as they're contracted to us, most countries just pay their players an appearance fee (England players give theirs to charity, more often than not). The group is Senegal, Tunisia, Egypt and Botswana.
Uruguay play Japan on Friday 11.25am ko and South Korea on Monday 12noon ko. I'd be interested to see Hernandez in action.
well im assuming the monday night game is the last so he has a week to get back to ull for the west amm game, sorted
Argentina are playing Germany tonight. Wouldn't be surprised if the Argies smashed them considering they lost the final.
Also a mention for Jahraldo-Martin, who's in the Antigua and Barbuda squad for the Caribbean cup 1st round. It's a group phase, with games against Dominican Republic, Anguilla and St Vincent & the Grenadines. Ties played tomorrow/today, friday and sunday. please log in to view this image http://www.cfufootball.org/index.ph...4-cfu-men-s-cup-first-round-set-for-this-week
Is he a proper Antiguan or Barbudan, or is it an ex-colony and he has a British passport thing? I'll never know how players like Jamie Wood were persuaded to forget they were English and go and play football for little desert island countries in the Caribbean several times a year, it's such a hellish proposition.
