Ross McCormack has been called into the Scotland squad due to Naismith of Norwich pulling out.
Emerson Hyndman has been called up for the US Olympics u-23 Qualifiers against Columbia.
So let's hope for no injuries to them.

Apart from Richards in the Welsh squad Jokanovic should be able to work with on our defense.

Don't know how McCormack has been left out of the Scotland squad for so long. Just hope he doesn't get an injury .. let's not go there !

Hopefully two weeks with Jokanovic and the squad will be well up for the crucial game against MK Dons.

Been saying for a long time that Ross should be in the scotland squad, not as if we have loads of great strikers, the fact steven fletcher gets a game says a lot. Tony Watt got a call up, now i dont know the exact figures but I'd take a guess that Watt hasn't scored half as many goals as McCormack this season.

I'm sure Tom Cairney qualifies to play for scotland too, I think he played for scotland U21s at one point. Wouldn't have minded seeing him in the squad, he's been one of our better players this season

Ross McCormack claimed an assist on an impressive return to the international stage as Scotland beat the Czech Republic 1-0 at the Generali Arena.

Two years after his last cap, McCormack was named in the starting XI and set up the only goal after 10 minutes, turning his marker and threading a superb throughball to Watford’s Ikechi Anya who raced clear and slotted home.

Scotland were indebted to Allan McGregor for a number of fine saves, before McCormack left the action in the 78th minute for Tony Watt.

Elsewhere, George Williams, currently on loan with Gillingham, played for just over an hour and looked sharp as Wales drew 1-1 with Northern Ireland in Cardiff. Jazz Richardswas an unused substitute.

Williams came close to putting Wales in front in the 36th minute but Craig Cathcart got his head in the way of the winger’s fierce drive to put it behind for a corner.

Cathcart then put Northern Ireland in front on the hour mark after Wales failed to clear their lines at a corner. But substitute Simon Church levelled matters with a minute left from the penalty spot after he had been fouled by Gareth McAuley.

Kostas Mitroglou was subbed in the dying seconds of Greece’s 2-1 win over Montenegro.

Giorgos Tzavellas put Greece in front with a brilliant free-kick that he bent over the wall and into the top-right corner in the 54th minute, but Montenegro were soon on level terms when Zarko Tomasevic met a corner to head home from close range.

Nikolaos Karelis put Greece back in front just after the hour mark when he raced clear and fired in and that was how it stayed.

At Under-20 level, Moussa Dembélé featured as France beat the Czech Republic 2-0. Dembélé went close early on, before Abdou Diallo broke the deadlock on 62 minutes. Sehrou Guirassy grabbed the second 10 minutes later.

Ryan Sessegnon won a penalty and Dennis Adeniran was a late substitute as England Under-17s defeated Turkey 3-1 at Chesterfield in the first of a triple header of Elite Round qualifiers.

Sessegnon headed an early chance wide, but Reiss Nelson put the Young Lions in the lead in the 38th minute with a cool finish.

It was 2-0 shortly after half-time when Jonathan Leko rounded the keeper to score and Nelson added another five minutes later from the spot after Sessegnon was sent sprawling in the box.

Adeniran was introduced with five minutes left and Turkey pulled one back in the dying seconds after a mistake by England keeper Adam Parkes saw Furkan Korkut roll the ball into an empty net.

And decent results from the feedback of the latest matches involving our lads. Although, Nikolay Bodurov was up to his old tricks and rosc's favourite Jesse Joronen must have been mightily relieved he sat his game out.

"Emerson Hyndman played the full 90 minutes as the US Under-23s earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw away to Colombia in a 2016 Olympic Qualifying Play-Off First Leg on Friday. In scorching heat and humidity, Luis Gill put the visitors in front in the fifth minute when he finished off a sweeping move. But Colombia levelled in the 68th minute when Juan Fernando Quintero converted from the penalty spot after Kellyn Acosta had fouled Rafael Santos Borre in the box. The Second Leg takes place on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, Nikolay Bodurov gave away a penalty – which Cristiano Ronaldo missed – as Bulgaria won 1-0 in a friendly in Portgual. Marcelinho marked his debut by giving the visitors the lead in the first half in Leiria, poking home from close range. Portugal dominated from then on but Ronaldo saw his second-half penalty saved after Bodurov, on loan from Fulham at FC Midtjylland, was adjudged to have handled the ball in the area.

Jordan Evans, on loan at Oxford United, was a 53rd-minute substitute as Wales Under-21s drew 0-0 in Bulgaria. The result saw Wales fall to second place in their U21 Euro 2017 qualifying group.

On Saturday, Jesse Joronen was an unused substitute as Finland were thumped 5-0 away to Poland in a friendly match in Wroclaw."

    And the latest chapter:

"Jazz Richards came on in the 65th minute of Wales’ 1-0 friendly defeat by Ukraine in Kiev last night. Andriy Yarmolenko’s first half strike proved to be the difference between the sides, although Richards drew a good save from Ukraine goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov in stoppage time with a low angled drive.

In Warsaw, Mikolaj Kwietniewski played just under an hour as Poland Under-17s got their Elite Round of qualifying for the European Championship off to a winning start by dispatching Montenegro 2-0. Marco Drawz had given the hosts an early lead, and they could even afford a missed Riccardo Grym penalty as David Kopacz wrapped things up in the second half.

In the same competition on Saturday, Ryan Sessegnon and Dennis Adeniran both played the full 80 minutes as England defeated Finland 1-0 at Leek Town. After Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson had seen his penalty saved, Andre Dozzell of Ipswich Town scored the only goal of the game to maintain the Young Lions’ 100 per cent record ahead of their final Group 2 match against Ukraine – who have also won twice – on Tuesday."

And also Matt played twice for England at the Montagui Tournament in France. 2-2 v USA (eventual winners) and 3-0 win v Northern Ireland..The other games were a 3-1 loss to Brasil and 1-0 win over Russia.
Matt played a deeper midfield role and team played really well against USA ..unlucky to draw

How can Bodoruv perform at International and Champions League level, yet be zilch for us? Hey ho - here's how he and the others got on yesterday :

"Dennis Adeniran played the full 80 minutes and Ryan Sessegnon was an unused substitute as England Under-17s drew 1-1 with Ukraine at Burton Albion’s Pirelli Stadium on Tuesday. The Young Lions had already qualified for the European Championship Finals after winning their two opening Elite Round matches, and the draw sees them finish in second spot in Group 2 behind their opponents. England took the lead through Chelsea’s Martell Taylor-Crossdale with little more than a quarter of an hour played, but Ukraine hit back in the second half with an Oleksiy Sich goal.

At senior level, Jesse Joronen was a half-time introduction as Finland were beaten 2-0 away to Norway in a friendly fixture. The Fulham stopper was beaten by Jo Inge Berget and Stefan Johansen in the second half in Oslo after coming on to replace Brighton & Hove Albion’s Niki Maeenpaeae.

Nikolay Bodurov played the entirety of Bulgaria’s 2-0 friendly win in Macedonia, where Dimitar Rangelov and Aleksandar Tonev were on target.

Emerson Hyndman played the full 90 as the United States Under-23s’ hopes of qualifying for this summer’s Olympic Games were extinguished by a 2-1 loss to Colombia in Texas. Having drawn 1-1 in the First Leg of the Play-Off four days earlier, a goalless encounter would have sent the States through, but they fell behind to Roger Martinez’s strike after half an hour. An own goal by Colombia’s Deiver Machado levelled matters 58 minutes in, but Martinez’s second of the night soon after settled it. To rub salt into the wounds, the US ended the game with nine men after Luis Gil was shown two yellow cards, and Matt Miazga a straight red for a professional foul.

At Under-21 level, Liam Donnelly captained Northern Ireland in their 3-1 defeat by Scotland at St Mirren Park. The visitors went ahead early on through Seamus McCartan, but a second-half revival saw the Scots take the three points courtesy of an Oliver McBurnie goal and a Jason Cummings brace. The result leaves Northern Ireland sitting bottom of their European Championship qualifying group.

In the same competition, Jordan Evans saw 90 minutes as Wales were beaten 2-1 in Romania. Robert Hodorogea had given the hosts the lead, and Ellis Harrison squandered the chance to level before the break when he missed a penalty. Alexandru Ioniţă made it two just before the hour mark and although substitute Jake Charles pulled one back in stoppage time, Wales slipped to a defeat which leaves them four points off the top of Group 5."
