Bosnia may have equalised. Dzeko or some sort of fog monster.

What was wrong about it? Those front 3 were poor and they didn't have much width. It was a spectacular opener from the right back, of all people, and a great finish Cazorla for the second but it was hardly a special performance from the Spaniards.

Anyway, I enjoyed watching us in the second half, I thought we looked far more confident and attacking. It was good to watch. Much better to see us push ourselves and go for it than play within ourselves and try and hold on for a 0-0.

That said, a lot of our defending was suspect second half. Smalling should've been tight for the first goal and as a defence they dropped too deep and allowed Spain too many chances through the middle.

Pleased for Dier to get his first cap even if he wasn't his best. Thought Kane, Walker and Alli all did well. Walker found Rooney well and was decent defensively down the right although he should've pushed out quicker after Hart's poor clearance for the second. Kane was on a bit of a hiding to nothing first half with everyone behind him playing so defensively but he got himself about the pitch, played some nice passes and found some good openings.

It was a bit like watching a cat playing with a mouse to me. Spain never got out of second gear. England's main failing is the same as ever - we can't retain the ball like top sides do. If you concede possession easily to the likes of Spain, they will eventually make it count.

I thought Dier looked excellent. Alli a little out of his depth. Incredible goal from the full back.

Three explosions reported outside the Stade de France, where France played Germany.
Several coordinated gun attacks, 26 dead and a concert hall under seige with 60 hostages taken by 2 gunmen, apparently.
    ****'s sake.

The worst feeling is the utter ****ing powerlessness against these scumbags.

That could be any of us in London at a Spurs or England game.

I have nothing to say except that I hope that all the innocents involved get out unharmed. What a ****ing situation to be in.

Anyone, and I mean anyone, that kills and maims civilians and innocent bystanders is evil and deserves the permanent removal of their liberty. It makes me wish I could accept religious tenets, as they would surely all burn through eternity.

I think the problem, particularly in the first half, was that we let them dictate the pace of the game which is why it was looking so comfortable for them. We seemed more content to sit deep and organise ourselves rather than disrupting the opposition's play.

I didn't think it was a particularly strong side the Spaniards put out so it was disappointing we didn't give it more of a go. When you've got those Spurs players and players like Rooney, Delph, Sterling and some of the Liverpool ones(I know most are out injured) it makes sense to harass the opposition as they've got the legs to do it. You could see Kane was having to fight the urge to close down for most of the game but that's one of his best sides to his game. Yeah, he can hold it up but if you're just going to leave him up there isolated, all you're doing is slightly delaying the opposition's next attack by lumping it up to him. The Premier League is high energy, quick tempo play, why we don't have our national side play like that I don't know.

That said there was some good moments for us we had some decent half chances outside the box and looked good when we managed to get our fullbacks forward. Bertrand's cross in the first half, wasn't far off finding Kane.

    Something approaching a roundup...

    England vs Spain
Harry Kane and Kyle Walker played the full 90 minutes, Eric Dier and Dele Alli both came on in the 63rd minute

    France vs Germany
Hugo Lloris played the full 90 minutes. He probably wished he didn't.

    Denmark vs Sweden
Christian Eriksen played the full 90 minutes, getting an assist

    Algeria vs Tanazania
Nabil Bentaleb was introduced at half time

    Belgium vs Italy
Jan Vertonghen played the full 90 minutes, getting a goal
Toby Alderweireld and Mousa Dembele were unused substitutes

USA vs St Vincent & The Grenadines
DeAndre Yedlin played 90 minutes, getting an assist

    Wales vs Holland
    Ben Davies played 90 minutes

    Cameroon vs Niger
    Clinton N'Jie played 64 minutes

    Argentina vs Brazil
Erik Lamela came on as an 81st minute sub

Meanwhile, at youth level, Josh Onomah did this against Japan U19s...

It looked to be a very harsh penalty decision.

Definitely. What is it with the Irish and contraversial handballs in playoffs?

I wonder if Jack Grealish feels like he made a mistake?
