So tonight's games, the following are likely to start -

    Morrison, Crofts - Wales
    Russell Martin - Scotland
    Ryan Bennett - England U21s

not sure if Canada have a game for Jackson?

Zak Whitbred could be pushing for a USA recall

I for one will be more focused on how these guys get on than watching our blessed national team play against Holland.

i'm cheering for the dutch tonight... technically i'm allowed to as i'm from a dutch background.

in fact, i hope england get torn to shreds - its the only way things might change. i hope carson plays 2nd half and lets in 5; i hope downing gets lost while running down the line and trips into the crowd who then carry him away; and i hope that welbeck, campbell and sturridge all have absolute stinkers.

    can't wait! <laugh>

whatabout Green having another senior moment like at the World cup?
i really dislike Downing, prime example of a player being picked because of who he plays for, not on form

i lived in Amsterdam for 4 months, so have a soft spot for the Oranje army too

    But what's more realistic:
-If both keepers play, they either keep a clean sheet without much work, or they "weren't at fault for the goals" so can't possibly be dropped
-Downing will have a stinker, but have a brief moment of clarity and beat a man on the wing and whip a decent ball in, once, which will then be reviewed for half an hour to show he's good enough
-The strikers will be hopeless, but probably both score, and everyone knows "you just can't drop a player whose scored"

We'll probably scrape a pathetic win like we did against the Spanish, FIFA will give us the number one ranking because of it, and we'll head to Euro 2012 believing we're world beaters.

But I agree with you, I hope England get stuffed.

I have a couple of friends who are half dutch and I once went there for a long weekend. Is that a good enough reason to support them?

I think all English players in the premier league and football league would have to be injured before a norwich player is considered.

I had what I believe was a fantastic weekend in Amsterdam, remember very little though. Is this enough connection?

Update on our lads involved tonight.

Scotland are drawing 1-1, Russ Martin beaten to a header for the Slovenian goal, Wales losing 1-0 to Costa Rica and Morison has just hit the bar

Just posted on the NCFC facebook page

International round-up: Four of City's stars have been in action for their national sides tonight.

Simeon Jackson completed 90 minutes for Canada in their 3-1 defeat to Armenia in Cyprus, while Russell Martin also played the entirety on his first start for Scotland in their 1-1 draw with Slovenia.

Meanwhile in Cardiff, Andrew Crofts was named man of the match and completed the full 90 minutes during Wales' 1-0 defeat to Costa Rica in the Gary Speed memorial match. City striker Steve Morison also completed over an hour before being substituted.

I saw on twitter a couple of Welsh fans saying Morison was their best player and were annoyed he was subbed even though it was a friendly
