International Call-ups

Pleased that Burnsy has been called up for the Wales squad but he may have 3-4 games in June, and he aint getting any younger! Would be a tragedy if he got crocked before the start of our new season.

Let's look on the bright side.

 

I always have mixed feelings about International call-ups.Whilst it is nice to have players that are good enough to make their National squad,like you I worry about them picking up injuries.

 

Was never a problem for Warky, Mariner, Mills et al was it?

 

With all due respect to Burns he’s nowhere near their class!

 

Well deserved but given he was a late call up I doubt he'll get any game time

 

Perhaps he’ll get to go to the World Cup. It’s always good for Town players and to be involved. Tommy Smith was the last one I think?

My abiding memory of him was the way he’d spend ages drying the ball before a throw in,then promptly chuck it to the opposition!
