That's a bit parochial, mine were born in Russia, the town they were born in is now in Latvia. Geography eh, where would we be without it?!

So, internationally you support Russia or Latvia? Or maybe, controversially, England?

I was born in Hull, so internationally I support England.

Well if someone from Hull can support Man U etc it must be acceptable to support Germany , Argentina etc .

Evidence of your Leeds background, I always suspected you were a closet TWS fan.

You would have to think it IS acceptable for someone from Hull to support Man Utd, Liverpool, Leeds etc for that to be the case. Which it isn't.

    And that’s great, for you.

I don’t subscribe to the idea that your birthplace dictates your football choice. There are plenty of factors. As long as there’s a decent link I don’t see the issue. If people pick a team like Man U just because they win all the time, that’s different.
I follow England and watch them when I can, I just don’t go all in for them and haven’t since I was 6.

The dystopian rule for football supporters.

Irrevocably brand newborns (post code lottery method) with a 'location i.d. #' - tattood on their foreheads, restrict their movement away from said grid to be evermore doomed to follow the local team and country of domile at birth.

The movement seems to be welling up. <laugh>

    Should work well !

So, thousands of miles away from Hull, which club do you support?

Internationally? Swaziland? Not that it matters who you support as the only thing that does matter is the best team wins. Hope City don't spoil my weekend by winning whilst not being the best team.

You do say some very strange things. I wouldn’t have thought a boy following in his grandfather’s footsteps when it comes to football would present you with such a vexing situation? It’s really not that hard to get your head around.

You're a relatively prolific poster on here. Based on the tenour of most of your posts, it seems it's hard for you to enjoy anything - unless you are being confrontational - typically through sarcasm. Interestingly, you hardly ever give other posters a "like".

Blind support of something is unhealthy if you can't recognize the efforts of others and the merit of their achievements. Winning by default is unrewarding in my mind. Usually accompanied by fluke.

We are what we are - hackneyed I know. Now where are my meds ?

    I give plenty of likes.
As for sarcasm, your condescending, patronising stuff is far worse. As far as City are concerned an injury time own goal win makes me happy. A defeat in a 4-3 end to end game doesn't. If I want to ooh and aah over the sublime, silky skills of top players of players at clubs I have no connection with and don't care who wins I could subscribe to SKY Sports. Which I don't.

Imagine complaining that someone supports a much worse side than their local one.

That is the opposite of glory supporting.

Not complaining. Just don't understand the logic.

Never notice, amongst the Hull and East Yorks Whites, Hull Reds etc any Hull Gills, Hull Alex, Hull Millers fans.
