Thought Grealish bought that penalty. Or cheated as it should be called. I don't want to see that even if we benefit from it. As for the starting team, it's hard to say when half the players weren't available. But given GS's caution, don't be surprised if you see Sterling, Rashford and Henderson and not Foden, Sancho and Bellingham. I wouldn't even be surprised by three centre backs and two sitting players. Having said that it's important to play to your strengths. If our strength is scoring from set pieces, then lets pick a team accordingly.
With Grealish drawing so many fouls around the box it would be madness not to include Ward Prowse in the squad or are we going to hope Harry Kane's luck changes with the free kicks
The only point is that these friendlies are pointless. The team which will take the field for the first competitive game haven’t played together. Players who have just played a very demanding season don’t need extra games. Players risk and injury and fatigue. What is the point?
Looks like it's going to be Ben White to replace TAA , with Maguire an unknown after injury I can see the logic but ommiting Ward Prowse I think this is a big mistake, I would love to see him at the Lane
The England defence worries me massively. I was confident they could win the tournament but the more I see the defensive players, the less I’m convinced.
I get the feeling the pundits will be talking about us during half time of all England matches Usually after the word "leave" or "leaving"
Danny Murphy on talksh*te today calling out Calvin-Lewis for missing Hendersons penalty miss rebound , no bias in our media oh no
Article by Southgate: https://www.theplayerstribune.com/posts/dear-england-gareth-southgate-euros-soccer Seems to have been positively received so far, but I suspect that's not going to last.
