This is literally a carbon copy of the Switzerland game, except Portugal are a lot sharper on the attack and could’ve had a couple goals already.

Can the FA do a Levy and just sack Boothroyd mid game? The man has a great selection of young players and he’s managing them woefully with his selection and dinosaur tactics.

Good 45 from Skipp again but Davies has been horrid, like Harry Winks after 12 pints horrid.

Tanganga’s done well for the most part. Sess has barely had the ball. Madueke made one good run but couldn’t get his cross in.

Boothroyd’s gotta make some changes (Davies one of them) or we’re gonna lose again and go out.

Portugal 1-0, Skipp’s fault too unfortunately, held on the ball for too long, got tackled and Portugal countered and scored from it. Had been having another good game prior to that.

It’s no more than Portugal have deserved though. Boothroyd’s managed to take a bunch of very talented young players to the tournament and completely destroy the attacking potential we have. He’s part of this dinosaur group of managers who have seen the game pass them by yet somehow remain in work.

    2-0 Portugal, penalty.

We’re going out at the first hurdle. Nice one, Boothroyd, you useless prick.

Switching off now, 75 mins and I don’t think we’ve had a proper shot on target.

I didn’t watch the U21’s this evening as I refuse to watch a side managed by Adie Boothroyd. Not surprised to see we got beat. For those that did watch, how did our boys perform ?
    Cheers.

Lewandowski has a minor injury that will keep him out of the England game on Wednesday.
Gary really is a jammy manager, isn't he?

Not as jammy as Boothroyd will be if he's still in a job after the tournament. One of the best periods for English football and he's completely ballsed it up, the useless oaf. Was looking forward to these U21s Euros too, fancied us to do well...

He should've been sacked last time. Truth be told, he should never have got the job in the first place.
What did he do to make it seem that he'd be a good fit? Drag Northampton to the bottom of the football league and get the sack?

That player had committed to fully clattering into
NDombele with the intent of knocking him over.

With the assumption there would be some mass to collide with. :)

Troy Parrott's coming on for Ireland against the international Qatar side.
Don't I mean national side? Nope.
Players from France, Portugal, Algeria, Sudan, Iraq, Ghana and Egypt. They've even got some Qataris in there.

This is all down to the ASPIRE Academy

For those not in the know, while gaining Qatari citizenship is usually pretty difficult, they do love their "special cases" - and that's what ASPIRE absolutely did, set up branches in Senegal, Ghana, Nigeria, Guatemala, Panama and Thailand which just so happened to identify of these "special cases" and spirit them off to Doha, get them signed up with local teams that meant they were now maintaining a lawful and regular residence in Qatar - which, between 1930-2019, was enough to make somebody a Qatari citizen, and by complete coincidence all the Nigerian/Ghanaian/Sudanese/Portuguese/French-born players in the Qatari teamall moved to Qatari clubs in the period between 2011-15

    Here's a WSC article from 2011 outlining what's going on: https://www.wsc.co.uk/the-archive/917-International-football/8303-one-step-beyond

Their coach Felix Sanchez also came through the Aspire Academy, having been poached from Barca.

And meanwhile, the dinosaur aka Adie Boothroyd says managing England U21’s is an “impossible job”

Good win for Wales. Gareth noticeably putting more of a shift in for them than he does for us.
