Austria fully deserve that win and to top the group. Very impressive performance against a drained-looking Dutch side.
Rangnick got it right and Koeman didn't. Far more creative, hard-working and organised.
Lovely finish by Sabitzer to win it, too. Another entertaining match.

Hard to decide which the most irritating thing about this afternoon's matches was

i.) Lewandowski stuttering twice during his penalty run-up
ii.) Lewandowski stuttering three ****ing times when retaking his penalty
iii.) Depay kvetching about the VAR call against his goal for what felt like ten minutes
iv.) Several of the Dutch team having their first names on their shirts, as if there's another van Dijk or Simons in the team
v.) Managing to be on the wrong channel for about half the goals
vi.) The usual thing with Dutch games where commentators are apparently blind to their diving and general thuggery

Plus the winning manager and the assist for the second Dutch goal.

It makes me smile when they criticise Harry for ambling about. They clearly don't watch him much he rarely sprints anywhere because he knows where to be.

Austria's last competitive win against the Netherlands was in 1984.
The only goal of the game was scored by current favourite Own Goal.

Ingerlund fans in the stadium - it’s King, not Queen. Keep up you neanderthals <doh>

Lee Dixon talking like Kane's lost his pace. He never had any pace. Idiot.

The pitch in Cologne has been rather dodgy so far in this tournament. Lots of Gerrard-esque slips.

At some point somebody might suggest Southgate fluked it to the 2018 World Cup semis

A half so boring that the ref blew up a second early! <laugh>
Get Trippier and Gallagher off for Gomez and Gordon at the break. He won't, of course.

Gallagher is the right answer to the wrong question.

England are crying out for creativity to link defense with attack. Currently all of Kane, Foden and Bellingham are trying to do it but it isn't coordinated and as a result they are either getting in each other's way or finding themselves miles out of position.

Guehi breaks the world record with 100 square passes in one half (the icing being that 75% of them were to Stones).
    Dismal, clueless, overrated, no chance.
Unless England can bring de Bruyne, Rodri, Odegaard, Vinicius Jr and Kroos on for the second half, I’m not confident.
Remember that these players make ours look good.
