Really? I've forgotten that! 1966 clear as a bell but 2000 Euros a complete blank Thats old age for you (80 next birthday)
It was a forgettable Euros for us - Keegan was the manager and beating Germany was our only high point. The rest was dire.
But isn't that just an opinion, not fact? My opinion is that "the narrative" actually says Sterling is better than he actually is. In other words completely opposite to your idea of the narrative. And for evidence I cite just about every pundit, who regularly sing his praises. So I can't see this other narrative at all.
It's not a "narrative" it's an opinion (as you have said) and your's seems to be in a very small minority.
We know from history that majorities are rarely right. I am part of his minority. I tend to think that for every Stirling goal we might have had two of Kane's if Stirling was replaced with someone who knew how to pass.
Sure, it’s an opinion. But I think there’s a lot of evidence to back it up as correct. The reason Kane isn’t scoring so much for England this tournament has nothing to do with Sterling and Kane himself and everything to do with how the team has been set up 80% of the time.
Sterling hasn’t hindered Kane’s game at all, the lack of creativity in the team has. It’s no real surprise that when Grealish came on, both Sterling and Kane grabbed goals not long afterwards, he was involved in the first and got the assist for the second, he also got the assist for Sterling in the Czech game. He’s a striker/ forward’s dream with the amount he creates. We had the fortune of watching Eriksen do it for years at Spurs, Grealish is that sort of player for England, albeit Eriksen was more technical whereas Grealish is more skilful. For me he has to play though, Sterling and Kane will continue to benefit from it.
I'm thinking of the times in between when a trophy was involved. Yep.Have good days and bad!!!!!! hope you are doing well too!!!!!?
I will be surprised if he doesn't feature on Saturday, I would imagine that we will go back to the team that started v Czechs for the Ukraine match.
Yup She's somehow both the worst kind of pushy parent and also the sort of parent who spoils their child into the point of complete delusion Or, as they're known at Eton, "parent's evening"
I think he’s looked better as an impact sub though when players are tiring and space opens up. If England are not going to play an expensive game from the start, he’s wasted.
They played an expensive game in the '66 final Have you seen the size of that Azerbaijani linesman's house?
