@Spurf - it livened up a lot towards the end. 23-6 to Portugal on attempts. Belgium’s ageing defence might have capitulated against a more clinical team. Can’t see them getting past France.
So far the so called 'big matches' have all failed to live up to the hype. Big hopes for Spain V Croatia and France V Switzerland tomorrow? No I didn't think so. All eyes on Tuesday then Germany V England normally a good game, but with a rubbish outcome.
Bruno Fernandes annoys me every time I see him play. Very skilful but play acts all over the place and always trying to influence the ref.
Is it learned behaviour? I don't know what he was like before he joined United, but he's certainly had this behaviour reinforced since. Because a lot of the time he tries it in the PL and the ref is influenced. I think we should use foreign refs for the PL, but that's a discussion for another day.
One thing I can't help notice at the Euros, nobody seems to defend their post at set pieces Suddenly our defending last season looks marginally competent
A lot of the Portugal team act similarly and Ronaldo was doing it before he joined Utd, though it probably got even worse there. I think it's fairly normal behaviour for Liga NOS, especially at any of their Big Three. Fernandes is a particularly bad example, though. A web search for "Bruno Fernandes dive vs" gives about a million options.
45 yard OG. Brilliant. Up there with Everton's Sandy Brown diving header OG donkey's years ago. For those too young to know or remember, we'll worth a Google.
