I was wrong about O'Shea being at fault for Slovakia's first goal. It was McShane.
Whelan was also involved, but making two mistakes that lead to goals is not good.

Lallana had no idea what to do with the ball there when he got it.

Nice pass from Walker though and calm finish from Vardy.

Perhaps those ones are still at the 1916 celebrations.

Their idea of what makes a potential international player is roughly the same as Qatar's: the second that one toe touches the tarmac at Dublin airport, you're eligible for their national team.

He just studded McClean on the shoulder. Is that close?
    Very dirty.

    Poll from the BBC

Who should England's main striker be at Euro 2016?

    Here are the results:
    • Harry Kane
      66%
    • Wayne Rooney
      6%
    • Daniel Sturridge
      5%
    • Jamie Vardy
      19%
    • Theo Walcott
      1%
    • Danny Welbeck
      2%
I should probably pin this for when Walcott gets into the squad in Vardy's place...

Woy is pissing me off tonight by bringing our Spurs lads on at such a late stage.

Agreed. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as we're chasing the game, but I'd rather see them all wrapped up in cotton wool to be honest.

Woy confirming that if things don't go his way, then he can be a right cantankerous old sod.

It's cos Rooney wasn't playing. Probably.
I wonder how long Stones will continue to make the side?

If I had to pick tomorrow (for the summer) I would go for:

    Hart, Forster, Heaton.

Cahill, Clyne, Jagielka, Rose, Smalling, Stones, Walker, Cresswell.

Henderson, Dier, Drinkwater, Barkley, Alli, Lallana, Sterling.

    Kane, Sturridge, Vardy, Rooney, Welbeck.

Rooney goes as captain but not in the first team, and is no longer captain after the Euros. Welbeck makes it ahead of Walcott as he's a bit more versatile and a better athlete. We don't need Milner's versatility with this squad, although he could make it in at the expense of Lallana or Barkley if you had to find a place for him. Hart should be fit in the next two weeks, but I wouldn't take Shaw or Wilshere as they're not going to have had enough football this season to justify it, and Cresswell has been impressive this season and deserves it. No point taking Baines as he hasn't been better than the two in this squad and although he's a bit more experienced, he's not significantly so and at his age, better to give the experience to another.

Who's guaranteed a start? Hart, Dier, Alli, Henderson, Kane. Everything else us up for grabs IMO.

I assume the Spurs subs were to keep the score at 1-2 rather than win the game.

Top teams always score against England.

As encouraging as the forward play has been at times, how can England shut out teams when it matters?

Agree entirely provided Rooney is actually playing decently before the season ends. Who am I kidding? He's going, no matter whether they can find a pair of shorts to fit him or not.

Tonight simply proved that Tottenham are better than Liverpool.

    Milner for Dier
    Lallana for Alli
    Sturridge for Kane

    England lose.

Did Drinkwater offer the CB protection that Dier provides Spurs,
or has he been mistaken as equivalent purely due to the Ranieri Italo style ??

Let's Be honest. We are all miffed that Vardy or Drinkwater didn't get injured. I know I am.

Are Algeria playing tonight? Hope Mahrez gets injured too.

Tongue in cheek I know, but you don't want to win the title by default and have years of being told Spurs only won it because so and so got injured playing a friendly international.

Win it fair and square - they've put out their best team in most games this season. Be better than that team.
