Well, what club wouldn't want a Premier League winner representing them on the international stage? And Liverpool don't have many of them to choose from... please log in to view this image
And the ******s can now enjoy having some direct premiership glory they won't enjoy for the next 25 years. Can't blame them And apparently they are rooting for City to win the premiership in the next few years so that they can appoint Sterling too.
So was Gerrard wasn't he? I remember a picture of him as a nipper stood next to the League trophy in an Everton kit from like the 80's.
lol I remember actually, something about his uncle dressing him up in an Everton kit to piss his dad off or something, was the excuse, right?
Some Liverpool fans wonder why some still have a bad attitude toward Owen, take one look at that picture and you'll probably change your mind.
Am lucky that my club doesn't have that kind of animosity with any other team to be honest. On one hand its nice and passionate to have a team you despise, but I ain't that sort of person to be honest. One of our best and most loved players was Ex-Arsenal (Ashley Cole). Gallas went the other way and I still remember him fondly. Anelka was ex Arsenal too, and Petit. Hasselbaink was Ex Leeds, and they are considered rvials of ours, yet I loved Jimmy. Maybe QPR is the only club I wouldn't be too happy with, those guys are little ****s.
He could have gone somewhere else but United sold him to Inter and he wanted to come back to England to be a big fish in a small pond. Liverpool was an obvious choice for him really.
