Just to rub salt in the wounds! Club submitted planning application to remove club shop and replace with 4 flats, Rumour is he's waiting for improved offer for ground and relocate at Blackwall site Guys he's going nowhere quick if anyone attends meeting with club I would suggest you ask the question The squad means nothing at all to him look at his network no squad investment at all Ask yourselves this question WHY has Greenwich council not popped up expressing there concerns! Answer they get state of the art stadium in there catchment Jiminez and slater did not fit the model and far to much baggage once they got knock back Kevin cash pulled the funding And the rest is history. As they say for warned is for armed. This poster has also said that the club receieved a bid of over 40 M Euros in July 2015 which was turned down. This might all be a load of bollocks, but interesting
Rod Liddle in the Sunday Times made a similar point about the squad yesterday. "the squad" is in essence a vast pool of interchangeable and sh1t players from Alcorcon, Ujpest, St Truiden etc. Relegation will actually suit this model, as these players will be more at home in League One. Liddle also described KF as having managed in the Belgium equivalent of the Wessex league.
We've tried to relocate under every owner. Varney was a huge advocate of it, though he was looking at Kent. We've always known the valley is what makes us desirable to possible owners. Nick was in contact with a local MP who said he would look in to it. Perhaps put this question forward?
Anyone who lives in Greenwich and is a constituent can contact Matt Pennycook about this and he will take it up. (I live in Bromley).
It is on Love me or Luz me, but it looks like the original post has been taken down, but he did mention the Take over, this person seems genuinely in the know, he has not posted before.
Rick Everitt - " I heard 10 days ago that RD planned to demolish superstore (sic) and replace it with flats"
It would explain a lot. For instance why he appointed a lawyer to run the club. If she had been appointed to take the club forward she would have been sacked by now, but if she has been appointed for her legal skills in a legal battle her job is secure whatever happens to CAFC.
If the club had submitted any application it would be viewable on Grenwich's website, I can see anything obvious. I can see that the chippy is going, shame! - http://publicaccess.royalgreenwich....E13CEAD4904ADC89008744AA9280?action=firstPage
On a more serious note, if you had £300,000 to spend on a nice new flat, why would you buy one in Floyd Road
I've become obsessed in the last week with reading the ott, hypicritcal, contradictory and uninformed postings on CL. They're reaction to a bizarre rumour is hilarious. If there is any truth to this if it was done properly it could be a nice little earner and sensible asset management creating good revenue; especially if the land is leased out to a developer which from the Owners perspective would add value to The Valley property and therefore the club (especially having invested in the pitch and training facilities). Are we starting to see RD's plan b for the club having realised he's not committed to an expensive promotion push? Asset stripping of the playing squad for quick returns and asset building of the club's property to add value? Probably not.
TBH Location for flats is rubbish if i was paying top money i would not buy, to have you lot walk past my gaff
It's all abit like the Chelsea an unnamed player said blah blah blah there is no evidence whatsoever ever that our glorious club shop the heart of our club that it is into be. Demolished ...if it were it's the least of our worries to be honest
