Sorry Brix, bit baffled by your post. Sooper's OP is great, Thicker (Andy?) made some forthright points which a couple of us proceeded to take the piss out of, essentially in support of the respect that these athletes deserve. Then a debate about the deserving versus the undeserving broke out. What's the problem? I liked the comments of our 100m winner ( the one who beat Pistorius), who has had his disability benefit removed. He's fine with it on the grounds that he can run for a bus better than the vast majority of the population.
Your reputation goes before you mate. Andy's Medrew-isms on this one may be distasteful to some but clearly not enough to attract expressed umbrage. Maybe if he goes on like that for a few months it'll change... Meantime Mrs B might find a more worthy friend to go shopping with!

Was trying to contrast the differences between real disabled people who deserve credit for doing what's necessary to get a life and those, like Andy's fat woman, who suck up resources for no apparent gain to much beyond her girth. As I say, imo people on benefits should be made to graft a bit for what they get. Then the likes of Andy (and me) wouldn't have much to grump about! Amended the post in bold.
