I'm really surprised by this, and I honestly think Benno does not want to leave. Had a really good chat with him at Welling, by all means things may have changed since then as he appears to have gone down the pecking order now that we have signed Euell. Not only a hard working player but a top bloke to boot, be a shame to see him go.
Saw Benno at training ground for the last U18 PS Friendly, prior to the Millwall game I think? He was chatting to people and encouraging the U18 players, he had a right go at our keeper for swearing during the game

If Benson is to go, and I hope he doesn't, could we at least get a bit more for him than that pitiful bid we accepted from Notts County?

Seeing as both euell and Benson aren't spring chickens anymore, maybe we should aim for someone more long term like the rest of the squad, rather then getting a proven late 20s forward?
Think he possibly putting money in. Not a clear buy out as he has relationships down there, but if he joins the board then he free to put cash in!
I understand that The Daggers want Benno back for next to nothing and there is also some interest of a loan move involving a Championship club....not sure he is Championship level though....sorry Benno!!
Really KP, a Championship clubâ¦? I agree with you. Heâs more than useful at League One level, but thereâs no way on earth heâs Championship quality! The Daggers are taking the Michael. I have heard a whisper, from a usually reliable source that Luton are one of the clubs interested. I canât see him wanting to drop out of the football league though. Although having said that, if the dough and length of contract are right I suppose it could have legs⦠Weâll seeâ¦.
