Great news for us. I rate this lad highly:- BURNLEY have been dealt a blow prior to Saturdayâs visit of Sunderland after striker Danny Ings was ruled out for four weeks. Ings suffered a hamstring strain in last weekendâs stalemate at Crystal Palace and limped off just before the interval. Initial scans have indicated that the England Under-21 frontman, who netted 26 goals for Burnley last season, will miss the three Premier League encounters before the international break. Former Bolton striker Marvin Sordell is likely to take Ingsâ place against Sunderland, with the Clarets searching for their first goal since the opening weekend of the campaign.
They haven't scored in the league yet so you could say it wouldn't make much difference either way. Mind, he'd probably have gone and hit a hat-trick knowing us!
Id like to think wed beat them with or without him, but hes their best player so ill take any advantage. He got 26 goals last season so hes bound to get one soon, and no doubt that wouldve been against us.
No doubt his direct replacement will score against us.........his first goal for five years.........a 40 yard screamer.......or in off his bell end!
Exactly this. Remember that Akenbey (thats not his name but he played for Leicester). Hadnt scored in about a year but knocks one in against us. Typical.
Pretty sure it was a hat trick on his debut! Was talk of us getting him at one point when he walked out on that Spanish club. Would've been a guaranteed three points on his debut! Usually good for a hat trick debut before a night dogging old Stan!
We are in deep trouble if we lose tomorrow. I would start Jozy and Fletcher up front, and Gecchi and Gomez. Then revert back to Whickham and put Johnson up front with him against Stoke.
We look to have the stronger squad, we must field the strongest team and show the most desire, anything less wont be good enough, the wrong results this weekend and the league table won't be pretty viewing.

To be fair hes a quality player mate. Hes about Connors age, height and build. Unfortunatley being a Sunderland fan we have to resort to clinging on to any advantage we can to get a win.
