India struggling against Somerset. Somerset declared on 425-3 with India making a miserable 132-8 in reply. Looking good for England against the "world number one".
I believe that may be a slight over reaction. Although it is a poor performance from india, it is the first game in seven months for over half the team, and also their first match in such conditions. With Dhoni, Laxman and Sharma (a bowler suited to these conditions) being rested, there is no use making snap judgements.
Interesting thought: presumably Somerset could make India follow on. In the interest of the England team, I reckon they should decline the offer and bat out the rest of the day/tomorrow to prevent the Indians getting any practice that they clearly need ...
