We're now only 4 points off fourth spot. Despite a ridiculous number of draws, a thin squad and an incredible number of dubious referee decisions against us! We have a relatively easy December (if such a thing exists), an opportunity to add quality in January (hands in pockets please FSG!) and every TV pundit in the history of time tells us that refereeing decisions always even out over a season. So that's it then; 4th is ours to lose. I'm off down the bookies first thing......
I think we're dark horses for fourth spot, hopefully we'll continue to improve and stay under the radar. It's plausible, but their's still a lot of 'ifs' and 'buts', I'm quietly optimistic. Some might say deluded
I wouldn't put my last half-crown on us getting it, but the fact that we're so close under the circumstances suggests things aren't as bad as many would have us believe.
I still consider us to be outsiders and will continue to do so until (or unless) we strengthen our squad in january, but we're definately in the mix.
