This fella is playing for the biggest club in the world, surely he can move to another big club. Do you really think he's would have heard of Qpr a few weeks ago?
He's certainly talented from what I've seen. Has never really got much of a look in since Mourinho arrived, but I remember him when he played for Getafe in 09, was a revelation for them as they qualified for Europe (got quite far in the last UEFA cup I think) and Madrid bought him back with the buy back clause (since he was a Real product). He's very much an attacking midfielder though, not quite what we need but a player of Granero's talent is always welcome.
That's what I was thinking. It does say on Wikki that he's both a CB and attacking midfielder!! Odd combination!
What's up with you lot. why are you belittling us? Why shouldnt world class players come to us? We are QPR from London not a small city 'up norf'. Live the dream. With QPR it does not come along that often so enjoy it. With our owners, world famous business men, it wont go tits up like Portsmouth, Leeds etc.
highly regarded over here by peers and fans alike, doesn´t get much airtime with the likes of Ozil, Kaka, Alonso and now Modric especially with the style of Madrid play. He is a tough cookie and can play the Alonso role but probably more forward thinking, never seen him play at CB for Madrid but who knows. Expect a lot of vitriol from other fans if the likes of him does sign for us. Would be an excellent addition IMO but let´s wait and see.
he is very much in the same mold as Alonso great passer of the ball and and very good hard working cm just what we need we be a class signing. This is what happens when we start signing players like Cesar other top players will follow.
Carvhalio is a step up from Anton/Onuha and Hill!!. Bosingwa and Carvhalio have played together at scum
Might be a bit late with this (just got into work!) but Granero seems to be a ´done deal´ - spanish press say 5 year deal and he will be in London today for medical and discuss terms. The Madrid fans have wished him well in his new adventure and completely understand why he has left. This guy is something special and if it all goes through and is made official then us as QPR fans should be legging it down the Uxbridge Road to watch him. Happy days!!!!
