I know this has been done to death but will try and put a diffrent spin on things, what as a supporter of CCFC would you accept in changes before you would feel upset as a supporter, our badge had been tweaked before ( most recently by Sam ) and we haven't always played in blue ... For me I think the red and blue strip shirt is a bad idea ( not sure if this was just a rumour) would rather either a red home strip and blue away strip or vice versa . Now the real emotive issue the nickname , will be honest don't think you can change a nickname ( having been called jellytot by my school friends for many many years and hating that nickname believe me I've tried ) . Something that nobody has mentioned that would raise our stock and sell shirts by the by bucketload (even if they were green blue orange etc etc ) a Asian or more specifically a Malaysian player , this would capture the Malaysian Markets imagination more then anything I think ? Feel free to agree , disagree , or call me a prat ( or jellytot ) really don't mind , at the end of the day don't really think my thoughts will stop the owners doing what they want and I can't afford to buy the club
I must admit I'm not to fussed if we play in Blue or Red, Don't mind the Dragon on our shirts either but would like to see the Bluebird on it too. We are one of very few teams who chant/sing our nickname and as you say we will keep doing it even if we played in pink. We had a once in a lifetime chance to make Cardiff City solvent with massive debt written off our ballance sheet, I just hope that after sleeping on it things can be sorted out and all is not lost.
If we are named Cardiff City Football Club, and we play in Cardiff City, and out history is remembered in some way by the club, I will accept nearly any aesthetic superficial change, that could be changed again in the future if required.
