A game which we would usually draw or lose the past three seasons we won, and looked decent. This week was the most important of the season tbh, we needed to win at Southampton/Udinese/West Ham to stay in contention and we did.

I thought this week would define how we would do for the year, if we drew or lost any of the three it would just show we haven't improved.

Just saying, good work.

The next 2 are going to be just as important as they are games we should win. If we get the points then the table may well look a lot better, if we drop points we are going to hanging around this mid table spot.

If we can make December our then we will be in an excellent posiotin for the rest of the season, as I think the owners will see the merit in bringing us a goal threat in January if the possibility of champions league for next season is there.

The Premier league is so tight this year aside from City and United, (the only two consitant teams in the league.)

A good run can really put you in contention. We have been pissed ff with drawing games we should have won etc, but two wins in a row has put us right up there in terms of points. A successful December could mean top 6 by january for sure.

City and United are going to remain where they are.

Chelsea will build consistancy with Rafa and are definately favorites for third or better if the players and fans get behind the manager.

But for the rest it is completely open.

Arsenal are having a hard time of it and may lose players (even to us) in january

Tottenham are far root unpredictable. (How many league games have they lost ? 6?)

West Brom started well but i fear will fade.

Everton are playing well, but fixture conjecstion will show the weaknesses in their squad.

In short I believe 4th can be ours, but to get there we have to play to our potential week in week out and show constant improvement.

Last season we started off playing really well, but lack of goals meant that we lost confidence and then were useless in the 2nd half of the season. Hoping that yesterdays comeback is going to have the opposite effect on us and really galvanize the team and slingshot us into a good run of results.

Im not saying we will get fourth, but this is the first time in a while I have felt it is even possible and that excites me.

Will all mean nothing if we dont trounce Villa on the weekend and keep the pressure on.

In the past, after a result like we had at West Ham, we usually follow it up by a damp squib, pish poor performance and a loss...
If we can win against Villa and Fulham, it may go some way (just a little) to prove we’ve finally found the corner we've been looking and are beginning to go round it!
We must invest in Jan though, if the squad stays the same, we’ll do well to finish 7th, if we can get the right resources in, then we “may” have a realistic chance of 4th time will tell I guess.

Not sure about that.

Egg head starting yesterday as your only striker didn't show much depth to me.

Tug boat Carragher is only an injury to Agger away ;)

I think you're clutching at straws to be honest. The teams we are playing have thin ish squads too whilst Chelsea who we play also have to go to Japan.

Could happen but I just can't see it, we've already had our fair share of injuries for a few months at least.

Gk

Howard
Mucha

Left Back

Baines
Oviedo

right back

Coleman
Hibbert
Neville

CB

Jagielka
Distin
Heitinga
Duffy

CM

Gibson
Osman
Fellaini
Hitzlsperger
Neville

ACM
Fellaini
Naismith
Barkley

Wingers

Pienaar
Mirallas
Naismith
Oviedo
Gueye

Strikers

Jelavic
Anichebe
Vellios

I think we're okay with depth thanks to the versatility of our players. CM and Up front needs to be improved but I think we're only in trouble if Jelavic or Gibson pick up injuries. Baines and Howard don't get injured.

12. Some Liverpool fans on here are like Pinky and the Brain, only rather than trying to take over the world each game is 'important' or 'must win' instead <laugh>

Not being funny, but I dont see that much quality there. Any team can write down a list of 20 players. It doesnt mean your team will be effective playing with all of them
