It could just be media speculation but come on give the guy a few games to turn things around: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/crystal-palace-news-ian-holloway-2218241
If true, it's madness. I think Hooloway has done great things with palace but they are a small club with no buying power. What does their board think they can acheive if they don't compete in the transfer market?
if he hadnt got them promoted and was top 6 in the championship would he be under threat of being sacked? its a cut throat business, managers get paid huge amounts of money to get to, and keep teams, in the PL, its only 2 games, if they are bottom after 8-10 then chairman will be faced with the decision to stick or twist......
I was over the moon when Palace got promoted. They had 2 class players last year, ones gone to Utd and the other is out till Xmas. Would palace have got anywhere near promotion without Zaha and Murry? They're nailed on for one of the bottom 3 spots IMO as they just don't have the quality in their squad. That's not Holloways fault and unless they pump 20 mill into 3/4 class players in the next week they just won't have enough.
