Andy King has 10 months left on his contract. He won't sign another contract despite several being offered, and wants to leave. We get a £4m offer from, for arguments sake, Tottenham. What would you do?

    a) Sell him for £4m
    b) Sell him for £2m in January
    c) Let him go for nothing

Tough choice I know, now we know how the Bristol chairman felt....................

If he has stated that he wants to go, sell him sooner rather than later

    a)

although Maynard has not made it clear that he wants to leave BC, so its not really the same situation.

    a)

Doesn't matter the length of the contract remaining - get rid of those that don't want to play for us like we did with Mattock and Stearman.

No argument, no begging, just a wave of the hand and a slam of the door then on the phone to the scout to find someone else if need be.

Sell and a get a decent replacement. Bristol wont be able to replace Maynard with a decent striker now as they wont be able to afford it

But at least Beckford will be on the pitch and not the physios room like Maynard would

depends- like with beckford and leeds, id keep till jan and see where we are, and if promotion is on cards gamble and keep.

if, like bristol, you arent going up and probably not down, sell.

The problem then is if you keep and promotion isn't on the cards and you decide to sell the players value will have practically halved. Just look how cheap we got Sol Bamba

thats the gamble at the time though. Leeds knew they would be there or thereabouts with promotion, so kept him. Probs could have got £1.5m in january for him at the tim eof they decided to sell. By keeping, the ygot much much more money than by selling him.

with maynard, all that will change is about 3 league positions.

Ditto - I believe 15-20 places they will be in, pretty sure that guy who is managing them will be out soon, maybe the owners are waiting for the moment to sack him then bring in the new guy and give him all the money they say they have?

Im not going to lie I wish we did get Maynard but I'm not disappointed we didn't as I think Beckford will prove to be a better signing. He will get 20 goals no doubt

I would agree, think most would say they wanted Maynard, but Beckford I am sure he will score quite a few, I would still like to see us sign Maynard, even if Jan or summer?
