BTW my prediction is including the 2/3 quality players Colin's on about, if they on't come in we'll be in exactly the same spot this season.
8th and we will spend the season just within touching disstance of pllayoffs just to make us all think that we have a chance. But I think Bates is staying and Warnock will walk by Christmas. But Warnock will blow the lid on whether the take over was a Bates scheme just to get us to spend cash whilst we hoped he was going. I also seea 12K attendance at ER for a league gam because it's going to be dross on the field!
Snap http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...-Predictions?p=3192185&viewfull=1#post3192185 Snap again - Not often we totally agree, on the previous link I went for: 1) Bolton 2) Cardiff 3) Hull 4) Leicester 5) Wolves 6) Huddersfield .. .. 9) Leeds 9th for us is assuming we do buy someone like Maynard who I personally feel is average and Peltier at RB - I can't help feel that Warnock has built us a capable team but when I look through it for star quality I am left wondering.
I was. But the nagging doubt at the back of all our minds that the take over was too good to be true and the certainty that Bates is an expert at manipulating events for the sake of hiis wallet now appear just too obvious to ignore. Perhaps now that doom is deceending we might be proved wrong and events might turn our way.
Cannot see Cardiff right up they will be 4th, Leicester 6th at best, Wolves will go back up in 2nd and Udders will be 14th and over achieve to get that.
See if you believe that when they have beat us to the signing of Peltier and took McCormack from us and have a McCormack/Rhodes partnership. I have still left out Birmingham, Forest and Watford - the latter two having new money to burn.
Huddersfield may beat us to the signing of Peltier but I think leeds fans are already overrating him. He isn't that great to be fair, nice to have in our team but there are better out there. If they somehow sign McCormack, well done to them and they will probably be able to score goals quite well. There one downfall is the fact they have Grayson as manager and I don't think he is that good in this league. They will concede goals I reckon, maybe finish around 12th I think Forest, despite there takeover are losing all there better players and aren't even looking like strengthening from a team that almost got them relegated. They are gonna be in trouble if they don't sort themselves out quick. Partner that with the fact they have appointed a **** manager. I cannot see them as a threat whatsoever, could be wrong though Watford will do alright, its hard to tell at this stage with them.
With all the super players you lot are pining about having lost I predicted 10th each of the last two seasons. I see no reason return believe any different for the coming season. Warnick is in the process of putting together a solid team and unit unlike the powderpuff lightweight team we had with Grayson One or two loan signings to provide pace and creativity and we will be knocking on the playoff door
This is basically how I see it currently but I do think this time that we will make the crucial wow signings, not that we have made em yet though
Who would it take for you to change your mind, which three players? At the moment it feels like we are going to be supporting Portsmouth next season. As for loan players, Warnock has stated in the past he doesn't like them, I can't see us going that route, not with the 'squad player' depth he has been purchasing.
Call it blind loyalty, callit stupidity, or just my glass always being at least half full. 2nd for Leed this seasn behind Wolves.
