He's being sarcastic because I once got desperate in my attempts to find somebody to replace Pearson and could only come up with Boothroyd.

I suppose it'd be like for like managing ability wise, but Boothroyd's not a massive dickhead like Pearson so I'd be able to get behind him.

Great work by McLean for the goal and our form looks good! 10 points from a possible 12 and 7th in the league! (I'm saying 7th because no matter what happens tomorrow, we will be) Keep the faith in the manager and the same team that's played through this impressive run. UTT!

i like the cut of your jib. At last, a poster who thinks the same as me. For years Hull has had to suffer at the hands of lazy monopolistic media who simply form an mouthpiece for Hull Trinity. Oh for likes of Dave Bond and the true local journalistic Pros

I don't get why you're such an apologist for this guy Thomsen. You seem rational in all other respects except that you defend the official forum f***wit every time he comes out with a new load of crap.
I suppose you have a generous disposition and want to see the best in people, but you should be aware by now that this creep has no respect for your views (or anyone elses) and he 's basically laughing at you.
He is an attention seeker pure and simple. He's not interesting enough to be respected for his views so he uses childish provocation to get a rise out of people. At the end of the day as long as someone talks to the lonely soul he is happy.
I'm not condemning you for being decent and giving people a chance, but for god's sake wake up and smell the coffee.

Seriously, people are getting their knickers out of place because of that interview?

    Really?

Nige wipes the floor with Burns. He comes out, tells it like it is, gives his opinions, and when Burns asks stupid questions, or, more accurately, makes stupid comments (he rarely actually asks questions in his interviews), Nige dismisses them with the contempt they deserve.

When Burns is interviewing a manager, who says he is not impressed with the consistancy of the referee, does he really think that he is going to make good headway in the interview with comments like "I said the referee had a good game, I, I, I, suppose I must have been missing something from the commentary box must I?"

Good thread, it's important to discuss the really big issues surrounding our club. <whistle>

Edit: I've merged the threads, I think one thread on a two minute interview with our manager is quite enough. <ok>

you didnt think think that McGiven fouled Brady at least once? Did you also think that Cairney wasnt fouled in the run-up to their goal? You thought that numerous similar 'challenges' to the aforementioned Cairney foul made by City players were right to be punished? I havent seen the official foul count but i reckon it was skewed against City. I wouldnt call McKenna the kind of player to be in the Refs ear so to speak, and it wasnt obvious what he said for his booking, but that booking was also indicative of the officials performance.

As for the result, its probably 2 points dropped, but if i d been offered a draw at the start id have took it. City played some great football and I pleased for the continuing progress Cairney is showing in his defensive game.

As for David Burns BA (Hons), he is no more than an average 'hack' who got lucky on the BBC gravy train. He is a long way up his own btm with his self appreciating publicity. People should realise that he is basically selling airspace in the same way a local advertising rep fills hatches, matches and scratches in a local free sheet. I d argue that it's a Professional journalist's job to get answers rather than offer the experts his own opinions!

I get on OK with him but I don't like it when he tries to provoke people on the board like you say.

Somebody on here suggested Boothroyd as a replacement for Pearson a few weeks ago and we all had a good laugh at it as it made his other arguments seem a bit daft.

How can comments like this be tolerated? from Mclean for England.

"I suppose it'd be like for like managing ability wise, but Boothroyd's not a massive dickhead like Pearson so I'd be able to get behind him."

Calling the manager of Hull City a massive dickhead?

It's a Hull City forum, not a "We all love Hull City" forum.

    Opinions and all that...
