Obviosly puts a question mark on O'Connor, be a shame to see him leave when he hasn't had a great deal of game time. But this could allow Kennedy to play in the much needed 'Defensive Midfield' role. I'm not saying he would be the answer to all our plroblems, he's not quick and often injured but would be a wise and calming head behind the midfield and be a modern day Keving Horlock for us. Just a suggestion. I imagine/Hope we'll sign a decent Defensive Midfielder (and an attacking one or two for that matter)
I would rather O'Connor play more than Kennedy. He looks mcuh a better player, and one signing I praise Keane for getting us! He looked a class apart against Leicester at home and when he has played, he has rarely faulted! Obviously it's up to PJ on who comes and goes...and I do have every faith in him, but I don't think he should let O'Connor leave.
completely agree. His performance against Leicester was class, albeit in bizarre circumstances but he hasn't been given enough chance in the team to be thrown out on his ear, and for a young lad too who when he's played has played with confidence, It would be a real shame to see him leave.
I would rate O'Connor more highly than Kennedy. What I have seen of Kennedy to date has not impressed me in the slightest.
I think O'Connor could do a good job for us at left back. He has good balls skills and isn't afraid of getting forward. Needs to really show what he's worth to PJ during pre-season.
