Mignolet and Sessegnon would definitely be gone imo, but what about the rest? Johnson? Fletcher? Gardner? Larsson? Who could we keep? Who would we buy? Would O'Neill still be here? ****ing he'll it's depressing thinking about it

I am sure that we won't go down...just!!But lessons must be learned all the way thro' our club..we cannot afford passengers in any part of the club.

Could be like the last day when the mags went down. Us, them or Hull. We got a result that day; here's hoping for another narrow escape!

I don't think we'll go down, provided we win the home games vs Stoke and Southampton. If we lose just one of them I reckon we're screwed <yikes> every point matters now. If we just roll over vs United I think relegation is likely, if they can't show any fight now that we're truly in the **** then we're as good as finished

In terms of who would leave prob Mig, Sess, Fletcher, Johnson and maybe Catts

If we went down the main players would go

it would be time to totally change and bring in a good young manager who plays in a positive way and is only going to get better

McClean, N'Diaye, Wickham and Elmohamady would be the main players IMO

we would have a team something like...

    ------------- Westwood -------------

    Laing ---- ???? ------- ???? -- Colback

    ------- N'Diaye ------ Vaughan -------

    Elmo -------------------------McClean

    ------- ??? ----------- Wickham ------

The reasons the mags come straight back up and had a good season in the PL was because they kept the nucleus of their 1st team we need to do the same no selling our top players, and remember Quinn said a few years back they put relegation reduced wages in the contracts if the players dont want it then they dont sign the player.

We need to keep Mig even though westwood will be good enough for that league.

Brown we need to keep, he owes us anyway JOS im not bothered about but cueller will stay.

Catts will stay Ndaiy (spelling) will stay Vaughan Gardner and larson can go for me.

Fletcher = 3 times in 4 years relegated something not right there evn with 11-12 goals, everone knows i didnt want him at the start and still dont cant see where all the praise comes from tbh so he can go even though he should stay as we only bought him last summer, Graham will stay if we even want him he is even more useless than Fletcher for me.

we need to get rid of the players that just havnt turned up this season but who have been here for 3-4 years already and keep the ones we have just bought (excluding McLean and Johnson they can go as well tbh) its the only way we will get back up.

If we look to sell cats brown mig etc and keep vaughan larson and gardner then sorry but we will prob go down again.

If we get relegated it will be like the three knockdown rule in boxing. We got ourselves back off the canvas after the 19 point and 15 point seasons but another knockdown could be the end of us and wed just drift along or scrape by in the championship. Its vital we stay on our feet

to be fair gards has not really had a run in the team in his prefered posisition has he, thanks to a certain mans selections, anyway the way the others are playing ,who would take the spot kicks,i dread to think johnson has proved that his would not reach, colback, larsson, vaughn, would hit it side ways

When we went down it was a touch random which players stayed and which went. I though Basssong would stay and Colo would go (the wages difference between them was huge) but i guess it depends on who comes in for your players and what their expectations were beforehand. Relegation made players like Colo, Enrique, Carroll, Nolan (who for us had been poor), Gutierrez, Shola (to an extent) and Krul. They had been mostly poor or peripheral previously but blossomed and once they know they were supported by the fans and manager were able to perform above their ability in the Prem.

I don't think you'll go down but you'd lose the likes of Mignolet, Sess, Johnson, Fletcher. Not so clear would be the likes of Cattermole who despite his disciplinary problems is still one of the best players. I'm sure his ambitions would be at PL level, but he does seem to genuinely love the club. He did Wigan and Boro though. Wickham too would be hard to stay. plenty would like him, he joined to play at PL level and he hasn't exactly been well treat by O'Neill. Gardner would head back to the midlands.

I think O'Neill would want to stay but it would be bad for Sunderland as it would be a great chance to get a more progressive manager. Who you would sign would largely depend on the manager. I think O'Neill would look for British players, maybe the older more experienced type for a quick fix. Whereas a new younger manager may look to get younger more technical types.
