Lets imagine good ol' United were the only club in England to have a sugar daddy and that we signed up all the best players and paid them double what everyone else can offer.

Now imagine FFP came into effect as its going to do.

How would fans of Man City and Chelsea feel about this, would they be hopeful the rules work or like now would they laugh them off as some poxy attempt to crush the great United?

What is interesting is Man City fans were amongst the loudest to moan about clubs spending large sums yet suddenly nobody is complaining. Perhaps a trophy or 2 is all it takes to lose the heart and soul of a club. Who knows?

I imagine it wouldnt go down well if we were not punished and allowed to spend insane amounts of money and effectively be given the freedom to monopolise the top of the League. I would think we would be restricted from signing players and even suspended from competitions. I suspect City and Chelsea fans wouldnt be the only ones doing the fandango over it either.

So what am I getting at? Well nothing much really just that how peoples views change from club to club. While many dont like what Chelsea or City have done there are others who praise them for doing....erm....**** all really. Are these people idiots or just brain damaged and in dire need of being put down?

United fans, non United fans, if it was United who were the City and Chelsea would your views change or not? Are you an ABU or are you a football fan?

City have been spending big for decades mate.

They blew a million quid each on Steve Daly, Kevin Reeves (utterly **** players) and Trevor Francis and achieved precisely **** all long before anyone else was spending a million on a player.

The reason they moaned when United spent money is as a result we became a success. Now they are successful it's ok again of course. Let's not pretend though that City are suddenly bid spenders, they've pissed money against the wall for years.

Oh I know that, City have on many occasions outspent us. The greatest example of this is when we won the double and they went down in 96 after outspending us. I was just referring to if it was only us who had a sugar daddy and Roman/Shake didnt exist would people have a different opinion about all this.

I suspect everyone would hate sugar daddies.

Oh and Rush, is it City who bought the first million quid player? Clough refused to spend a million so went as high as £999,999 so never the full million.
